Dear art lovers, welcome to my website!

My name's Vera. I live in sunny and green Serbia, amazing country located in Southeast and Central Europe, in the Balkans.

I'm a self-taught artist with more than 10 years’ experience in painting. I've been studying drawing and painting myself from different sources such as books, tutorials, masterclasses and art courses.

I’ve started painting spontaneously feeling a strong urge to express my admiration for beautiful world around me which I love with all my heart and desire to express how I see it, trying to depict what I see with brush and canvas. Once I started painting, I felt such a desire to paint that is similar to the desire to drink a glass of water on a boiling hot summer day, I keep feeling really thirsty to creating art!

Applying paint on a canvas is always what excites me tremendously and seeing the result is what gives me goosebumps of happiness and joy. Creating art is a magical thing to me, while I am painting, I have no worries and troubles, it’s my meditation, all I feel is my admiration for the amazing world around. That’s what I want to show with my art works and I really hope you can feel what I feel when you look at my paintings. I truly believe that art can make our world a better place, can make people see beautiful things better and clearer, and appreciate them at the same time, art can make our hearts kinder and teach us something good.

My favorite topics are all kinds of scapes: landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and animals. As I love nature and travelling, I’m going to share the views I see, put on canvas. As I have been an animal lover from childhood, you are going to see cats, dogs and other animals on my canvases.

My art technique is varied, I love experimenting with colors, art materials, topics. I paint both in layers and impasto technique. It’s important to me not only what I paint, but how I paint. I adore seeing texture in art, bright optimistic colors on canvas.

My favorite artists are French impressionists, such as Claude Monet, Renoir, Dega, Sisley and others. I admire words of Van Gogh. I enjoy classical painting as well and some pieces of modern art. Any art that brings good feelings or teaches something valuable is worth admiring.
